The shop name comes from two of my favorite things:  knitting and birds!  I’ve been knitting for 30+ years and am passionate about the craft.  It’s a lifelong journey of learning and creating, and if you think at some point you’ll be good enough to not make mistakes, think again.  Mistakes follow us and teach us in everything we do.

Like many of you I enjoy watching the seasonal changes of bird species in our area.  Each spring I eagerly await the return of those fascinating little hummingbirds, and then I embark on nest hunting in the orchard behind my house.  What a thrill to find one and watch the chicks grow.

As knitters we are fortunate our projects keep us busy, creating, and (hopefully) calm no matter what else may be going on in our lives or the world around us.
